VillageHall

Speen Pre-School is a small, friendly pre-school provision, located in a lovely village environment, within the Village Hall. It has it’s own outside play area nearby which is very pleasant and securely fenced. We cater for children from 2 to 5 years and have a staff to child ratio that is significantly higher than required by Ofsted. This ensures children get all the attention they need to fully develop their social, emotional and academic skills.

Speen Pre-School was originally created as a playgroup some 30 years ago and has developed since then into a Pre-School with charitable status, becoming a member of the nationally recognised Pre-School Learning Alliance in 1997.

We hold morning sessions every weekday between 9.15am – 12.15pm with a maximum of 20 places within each session.

We also offer some additional sessions as follows:

Early morning drop off session for all children: 8.45am-9.15am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Lunch clubs for children aged 3+yrs:

12.15-1.15pm Monday: lunch followed by music and movement session

12.15pm-1.15pm Tuesday: lunch followed by Physical Exercise (P.E.) session

12.15pm – 1.15pm Wednesday: lunch followed by specific writing skills session

French lessons for children aged 3+yrs: Tuesday (during the session)

'Staff provide a stimulating environment with a range of planned activities making use of resources to support children in all areas of learning.' 'Children are having fun and enjoy themselves in the pre-school'
